Perth's Biggest New Year's Eve Festival: Everything You Need to Know About SNACK NYE 2026
New Year's Eve in Perth is a competitive night. There are rooftop bars, riverside dinners, free fireworks at Elizabeth Quay, beach parties at Port Beach, and club nights across Northbridge. But there is only one event that pulls 20,000 people to the same address for seven stages of live music, a midnight fireworks countdown, a foam party, a drum and bass cave, 5,000 silent disco headsets, and a Karaoke Village that somehow gets more chaotic as the night goes on.
That event is SNACK NYE — and it returns to Claremont Showgrounds on December 31, 2026 for what will be its biggest edition yet.
What Is SNACK NYE?
SNACK NYE is Western Australia's largest New Year's Eve music festival, held at Claremont Showgrounds in Perth. With a capacity of around 20,000, it operates at a scale no other NYE event in the state can match. It runs from 5pm to 1am, with the midnight countdown headlined by whichever artist is announced as the year's main act.

Seven distinct stages, each with its own identity, sound system, and crowd:
Boombox Stage — The main stage and heart of the festival. Past headliners include Kevin Parker (Tame Impala), Darude, What So Not, Golden Features, Peking Duk, and Pendulum.
The Tomb — Perth's only dedicated drum and bass room on New Year's Eve.
Snow Park — A foam party and throwback stage with 90s and 2000s anthems.
Red Light District — Progressive house and deep electronic music.
Silent Disco — 5,000 wireless headsets, three channels playing simultaneously.
Karaoke Village — Exactly what it sounds like. At midnight, pure chaos.
